Google “Villas in Tuscany” and wade through the hundreds of results to find the perfect one…if you have the time. Looking for airfare at the best possible price? Using a travel agent will increase your odds. Plan to zip line or whitewater raft with your children? Be sure the vendors are vetted and trustworthy! That bundled price looks good online, but are you confident in the bed configuration and room views? Are you a bride or groom who doesn’t want the job of pestering your guests to hurry and book their rooms? Why are others enjoying free breakfast at your hotel, and you’re not? The list goes on!
One of THE BIGGEST reasons to use Gökotta Travel, LLC as your travel advisor team is you aren’t the one who pays our commission - the suppliers do! YEP! There are no out-of-pocket expenses when you work with Gökotta Travel! How do we get paid you ask? For travel agents who work with a consortium like we do (in our case, Signature Travel Network), travel agents’ commissions are paid by the hotels, tour operators, destination specialists and cruise ships. These relationships take years to establish, and agents who do not partner with a consortium need to tack fees on to your booking(s) to get paid - ouch. Our destination specialist live in the destination of their expertise. They help us place you into the safest accommodations in the best locations, whether you desire to be off the beaten path or within walking distance to local cafe’s, pubs, restaurants, shopping, museums and more. Their services are invaluable to us because we haven’t been everywhere (yet!).
The only pay-per-hour situations involve booking air-only or Airbnb/VRBO’s. Airlines, Airbnb’s, VRBOs do not pay travel agent commission, so we very seldomly book these elements separately. That said, we can package air and accommodations anytime, and we do have a fabulous inventory of rental properties that DO work with travel agents! We CAN book your hotel accommodations, ground transfers and tours seperately.
We understand that it is fun to plan your own travel (it’s why we do what we do!). When you work with us, you will remain a member of your own team, being as hands-on or hands-off as you like. We are here not just to meet your expectations, but to truly exceed them. Our summarized mission is to help you make amazing travel memories without unwanted surprises.
