European Escape

I truly enjoyed working with this lovely couple! Their European vacation was custom built to fit their heart’s desires. They started their adventure in Rome, Italy, where they visited the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Sorrento was next on the list (of course!) where they enjoyed day-trips to the beautiful and charming cities of Capri and Anacapri which included a guided tour of the island and a visit to Blue Grotto. They then experienced a coastal drive along the Amalfi Coast (#bucketlist!) Naples, Florence followed, where they stayed in the gorgeous Bernini Palace and experienced a “Best of Tuscany” tour which took them to Siena, San Gimignano and Monteriggioni, including visits to a winery and cellar. The group tour was small, and included olive groves, vineyards, amazing medieval hilltop towns, stunning frescoes and iconic views.

Did this vacation stop there? Nope! Next they meandered through the villages of the enchanting Cinque Terre. There they discovered the beautiful fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Verazza, and Monterosso. Their next stop was Venice, where I organize a morning walking tour for them which included visits to the historical center of the city to see its monuments from outside. The itinerary consisted of; Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower, Procuratie, Santa Maria Formosa, Marco Polo's House, Campo SS. Giovani e Paolo and the Malibran Theatre. A private Gondola ride along the Venetian canals punctuated this romantic European escape.
